List of FAQ’s

Q: What will my child need?

A: Two changes of clothes, whatever the child feels comfortable in. preferably t-shirts and shorts, or sweatshirt and sweatpants. Extra sweatshirt in case of cold weather.

Q: How much will it cost?

A: 280$ for 2 weeks, 560$ for 4 weeks, or not 1120$ but 999$ special for 8 weeks.

Q: Who will be taking care of my child?

A: Caroline Beshro and Derek Carroll who are two well respected and trusted Tristar team certified members.

Q: What certifications do they have?

A: CPR certification, years of experience in the martial arts, Muay Thai training in Thailand, Experienced with young kids

Q: Is there any danger in practicing these sports? How will my child be protected?

A: There is danger in practicing any sport, however, we at Tristar gym want to minimize any chances of such occurrences by omitting some of the more dangerous aspects. For example, your child will not receive any hits to the head during training, and all physical contact will be vigorously supervised to prevent any injuries or pain. Only technically correct and controlled movements will be allowed.

Q: What skills will be developed at this camp?

A: Emphasis will be placed on confidence, teamwork and fitness, while practicing boxing and wrestling which will develop hand/eye coordination, speed, strength, overall body conditioning and self defense skills.

Q: What will they be eating for lunch?

A: Healthy meals such as: salads, chicken salads, paninis, tuna, all freshly prepared, snacks such as fruits and juices etc…

Q: At what time must children be picked up from Tristar?

A: The camp ends at 4:00 pm therefore parents must be there to pick up their children anytime from 4:00 pm to 4:15 pm at the latest.

Q: Will children be cared for in English or in French?

A: The camp is bilingual, therefore everyone will be able to communicate with the monitors, and those who are fluent only in one language will probably develop good skills in the other.
